Getting Ready for The Big Day
What to Pack in Your Hospital Bag
And suddenly, the wait is over. The moment you’ve been waiting for it’s just around the corner. Your due date is approaching, and it’s time to pack your hospital bag. You should have it ready to go by 35 or 36 weeks pregnant, just in case you go into labor before your due date.
So where to start? You don’t want to leave out any essentials, but most lists include way more than you actually need. Use this simple maternity hospital bag checklist of essentials for mom and baby for a more comfortable labor, delivery and recovery.
Make a List
Getting things organised beforehand can help reduce anxiety and find some peace of mind. In addition to this checklist, try making a list of the things that make you feel comfortable and relaxed as possible. Check with your Hospital what exactly they will provide.

Prepare Your Baby’s Clothes
Before packing, it’s important to wash your baby’s new clothes and remove all tags on the inside of the clothes (they will itch and irritate your baby’s skin). If possible, purchase an hypoallergenic detergent just to ensure baby doesn’t have a skin reaction.
